Outdoor Tent Wedding

Who doesn’t love an Outdoor Tent Wedding! They say that it is good luck in marriage for it to rain on your wedding day. Well in that case Jess & Matt are going to have GREAT luck in their marriage because it poured on their wedding day. A day with only rain, rain, and more rain in the forecast could put any bride in a somber mood. Especially if it was planned to take place outside… but not Jess! She could not have been more excited to marry the love of her life in rain or shine.

As we arrived at the bride’s house we knew we were in for a great day! The bridesmaids and “bridesmen” were a lively group full of exciting and eclectic people. A crowd we knew right away was going to be nothing but fun! After a few finishing touches on her bridal make up she slipped into her stunning wedding gown. It was a dress fit for a princess. As a matter of fact it was designed after Tiana’s from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog! After a few portraits at her house we were off!

As soon as we caught up with Matt and his groomsmen it was obvious (even though it didn’t seem possible) that he was in an even more excited than Jess! We soon learned that nothing could rain on Jess & Matt’s parade. After both of them saw each other for the first time they shared laughs, hugs, kisses, and their excitement. It was then time to head over to the tent where the rest of the evenings events would take place.

With some heat lamps on and running the tent was cozy and the perfect, dry spot to do our photos! As we worked through family and wedding party photos we were surprised with an appearance from the bride & groom’s fur babies. The pugs were all dressed up as the ring bearers and the flower girl! So adorable!

Then it was time for ceremony! The Bride & Groom shared heartfelt vows while crying a few tears of joy. After vows they exchanged their rings and sealed their marriage with a loving kiss! It was a touching ceremony. The newlyweds shared a quiet moment alone. In keeping with the princess theme – Jess’s ring even was a tiara. Also her bouquet of roses was made from pages of books!

The reception was also held in the tent and the bride & groom’s love of all things Disney and their creative take on table decorations was enchanting. Their centerpieces were all different and were themed from all their favorite Disney movies! From classics like Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, to even featuring newer movies like Coco and Up every table was magical in its own way!

There was a short break in the rain which was just enough time for some outdoor portraits of the bride & groom. After intros their friends sang and played the guitar beautifully as they shared their first dance. The crowd was overcome with emotion watching their romantic dance. The speeches from the best man, maids of honor, and the grooms dad had all the guests laughing and at times crying with joy.

As the rain continued to fall outside the bride took off her wet dress and slipped into something more comfortable. With something warm and dry she was ready to dance the night away. Even without the rain’s added good luck it is obvious that these two were going to have great luck in their marriage. All due to the love this couple shares and the love radiating from everyone around them!
