Inn At Middletown Wedding

What a lovely and intimate Inn At Middletown Wedding. With perfect weather, a perfect couple, and a beautiful venue how could it be any better? Everyone knows the excitement and bustle of energy involved with a 400+ guest count. However, we tend to like the more intimate weddings. Tara and Andy just that! They had a guest count of a close fifty people. There is a certain specialness when you know not only the bride and groom but everyone in the room! This makes for a very meaningful and emotional day and with all that emotion comes great pictures.

Tara & Andy are the type of couple that lights up a room. We found this out about them as soon as they walked in the door of our studio. A fact that was reinforced when we did there engagement session this past winter! Not many people would have a smile on their face while freezing outside in the middle of December for over an hour! But these two did – and they loved every minute of it!

There was no lack of smiles on their wedding day as well! They were overcome with excitement from start to finish. As you can see! Once Tara & Andy were all dressed up and looking stunning it was time for the first look.

We always recommend doing a first look – it really gives you a moment alone before getting married to really enjoy each other. To take in the moment. To gaze at each other in awe of one another’s beauty. It also helps with being able to enjoy more of your wedding celebration! This is because after the first look you can get right into all the formal photos. Who wants to have to take photos instead of being able to mingle, eat, enjoy a cocktail, and relax with friends and family? No one does!

After formal photos it was time to get the bride & groom tucked away as guests started trickling in. Tara and Andy took the moment alone to exchange cards and gifts. So cute! Meanwhile a beautiful ceremony set up was inside the Inn and it was almost time to get started! It is true that every wedding is different. We liked how Tara & Andy did a drinking together part as opposed to some other symbolic unity acts. The crowd enjoyed it as well. And after a post ceremony celebratory toast it was time to get the party started.

The reception room was beautiful. How pretty were their succulent and lantern centerpieces? Terry Krisavage does some beautiful work! We love getting to work with her. Her unique flower designs are always a blast to photograph. We just love them! The purple bows on every chair really added a nice pop of color against the white chair covers. So pretty!

With guests comfortably in their seats it was time to introduce the new Husband and Wife! The group of fifty of their closest friends and family were all excited to see them! Their first dance was touching to watch. Then after both the bride and groom danced with their parents it was time for some hilarious speeches from the maid of honor and best man. They had everyone in the room laughing! Then as dinner was being served we seized the opportunity to take some beautiful nighttime balcony photos of the newlyweds. After a quick cheers and sip of their champagne they were off to share another dance together and cut their unique and colorful wedding cake! What a great wedding! Just absolutely perfect!
