Latitude 41 Wedding

It was a perfect day for a Latitude 41 Wedding! On the water and in the beautiful town of Mystic – we always love weddings at this venue! To make it even better, we met Amber & David when they were guests & groomsman in the unforgettable Jess & Tyler’s wedding. We were so excited when these two contacted us about their special day! Meeting with them over the course of their prep we started to see their day come together and we could not have been more excited when we arrived at the hotel the morning of! Everyone was feeling the same excitement. There were bridesmaids jumping on the bed, having pillow fights, and groomsmen laughing as they got ready!

Their nautical theme was off to a great start even with Amber’s details including blue & white, anchors, and her amazingly beautiful headpiece with starfish & pearls. Once David and Amber were both dressed and ready for the day ahead of them they took a quiet moment to open beautiful cards and gifts from each other.

We love when brides incorporate meaning into every aspect of their day. What could be more special than Amber wearing her mom’s dress – and it looked absolutely perfect on her! Of course her mom could not help but be so touched when seeing her daughter in her dress ready to get married! Then after some help from her girls, some stunning bridal portraits, and the boys one step ahead of us we were on the way to Latitude!

As soon as we got into Mystic Seaport we found a beautiful dock for the first look! After lots of hugs – kisses – happy tears and a visit from Tucker their adorable golden retriever (in paper form as unfortunately he couldn’t make the trip out to mystic that day) it was time for family and wedding party photos! It was so great to see some of these guys again and with the addition of some new faces and personalities this was one lively crew! The girls were no different – all great personalities and off the charts with their level of happiness! Formal photos were a breeze – by the water and in the seaport! Then we tucked away the wedding party as guests arrived.

Ceremony was set up by the water, all their guests were in their seats, and David was in place on the top of the aisle. One by one the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle followed by the adorable ring bearer in his very own boat-mobile. How adorable! Then all rose for Amber escorted by both her parents with smiles on their faces and her veil blowing beautifully in the breeze. Their friend gave an amazing and heartfelt ceremony – they exchanged rings, tied the knot (A fisherman’s Knot), and sealed it all with a kiss it. All the guests cheered along with Amber and David! Cocktail hour on the patio was filled with laughter, good food, and their signature Something Old and Something Blue drinks! Their nautical reception set up was so creative and beautiful!

As all their wedding party made their entrances the room was roaring in laughter! David and Amber danced their way into the room and onto the dance floor where they shared their first dance as husband and wife. After some great speeches by the maid of honor and best man the guests enjoyed their dinner and we snuck outside to catch the breathtaking sunset on the water! After cake cutting (with frosting splattered everywhere) and lovely parent dances it was time for the garter and bouquet toss! David got the crowd all riled up as he danced around Amber and went in for the garter… Only to be greeted by a Smirnoff Ice! The crowd erupted in laughter and David had everyone going as he drank it down!

Little did we know (when thinking back to Jess & Tyler’s wedding) David can command a dance floor! But not only him, Amber and actually all of their guests had the dance floor crowded all night! What a fun and perfect day for this amazing couple!
