A Year Without Bridal Shows

Hello all! I hope your new year is off to a great start and you all are staying safe and healthy! COVID continues to affect the wedding industry this year. This is the first year in 25+ years that we could not participate in the Jenks Productions Bridal Expo and our other bridal shows! Another new experience brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic. We never thought we would have to imagine what a year without Bridal shows looks like! But here we are!

Every year we look forward to being able to meet so many new and excited bride and grooms to be! We love everything from the prep for the show, booth set up, day(s) of the show, and even the booth break down! In preparation for the show we always take a look back at our weddings from the previous year. It is such a fun project, full of so many memories and stories, and gives us the opportunity to feel so thankful for our brides and grooms from that year! 

Next we always do a trial set up of the booth in the studio! We are so thankful to our friends at Blue Wave Printing who helped us develop our bridal show set up! Our easy pop into place frame and zipper/machine washable white cover takes minutes to put together! We also love the clean/white wall gallery look it provides! We are so lucky to also have amazing DJ friend – Mark of Awesome Audio who generously provide us uplighting to highlight our images!

The day before each show is load-in day! We get everything packed up the night before and are in the car headed to the show bright and early! Once our booth is set up it is time to head back to the studio to prepare for the show days!

For every show we love to arrive early and get our booth in full show-mode! Once we are set it is so fun to take a walk through the show before the doors open. We always love to see all our favorite florists, DJs, photographers, venue coordinators, caterers, bartenders, limo/transportation providers, and so many more vendors that showcase their amazing and exciting ideas at the big Wedding Expos!

When it is time for the doors to open the excitement is like no other! So many smiling faces come through the front doors! There is nothing quite like planning a wedding. The love, the support and excitement shared with friends and family, and the happiness in creating a magical celebration of your love is overwhelming and so exciting! We love to watch as all the brides and their maids of honor, bridesmaids, moms, sisters, etc. pour in! As new faces find their way to our booth we love to hear all of the proposal stories and everyone’s unique wedding ideas! No two weddings are ever the same. Every year brides have creative and unique ideas about what they want for their wedding day!

 We look forward to the bridal shows every year! This year it was definitely missed.
