It was a lovely Saturday for a Mystic Yachting Center Wedding! We had the pleasure of getting to know Julie & Kevin back in October when we got to be a part of their engagement and proposal!

Boats play a big role in the brides life. She has been boating with her dad ever since she was a young girl so it was only fitting that when Kevin asked her to marry him it had to be in a boat-related way! When she said yes it was time to start planning for this very special day! What better place for a boat loving family then a yachting center? It couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. From start to finish their day was spectacular! From an exchange of heartfelt gifts in the morning to the last song in the yachting center everything was perfect!

Every wedding is unique and this one was no exception! Some special moments were the fact that Julie was with her dad on his boat right before ceremony. When it was time to walk down the aisle part of her aisle was the dock! How fun!

Also it’s very rare that a groom also doubles as a hero. Picture this. Just before ceremony the hot sun turns to overcast. The light is perfect, even and soft. The fog comes rolling in off the water for a mystical and magical atmosphere. Reverend Richard was in the process of giving a heartfelt and touching ceremony when he made the mistake of taking one step backward and was about to fall into the water when Kevin reacted so quickly and grabbed his arm to pull him back. What a hero!

If boats are Julie’s thing Kevin’s is cars. Their wedding was complete with a beautiful light blue restored 1955 Chevrolet pick up truck. Which was awesome for pictures and looked great with her pastel pink and ivory bouquet!

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Kevin’s friend Melissa remarkably sang Stand by Me as the bride & groom shared their first dance. It was a spectacular occurrence. Then after three beautiful speeches Mark the Shark from Shark entertainment rocked the whole Yachting center and everyone danced into the night.
