We loved everything about this Riverview wedding! Who remembers our Megan Fanion from Sara & Jason’s Hartford Club Wedding? As promised here is a post all about her and Jamie’s wedding!

What else can we say about Megan that these photos don’t just scream by themselves? This girl is GREAT! Having worked with her in this industry for a while we know how she is a hard worker, driven, and focussed when it comes to getting a job done. Furthermore, when it comes to having fun her bubbly personality and exciting energy is like no one you’ve ever seen before! Megan is so amazing that you would think that no one could ever compare. That’s where Jamie comes in! He matches her energy and is just as great as Megan!

When pulling up to the Simsbury Inn where everyone was getting ready we were greeted with a car yelling to us when off loading our photography equipment. Who else would it be but Jamie and his rowdy bunch of groomsmen? All fired up for the day! As we made our way to Megan and her girls their energy matched the guys’ and we were overcome with the excitement surrounding this wedding!

The bride and groom love everything boating and nautical. Brian (having a boat of his own) is the same in that! In their spare time you can find them cruising around the Connecticut river and soaking up the sunshine every chance they get! So it is only natural for Megan and Jamie to have a nod to all things nautical for their wedding! Starting with their details! Their wedding details were so much fun to photograph. With everything from shells and starfish to pearls and a whale tail necklace it was easy for Dominique to let her creativity fly and get some really great photographs!

With hair and make up complete and the boys all dressed up it was time to get Megan in her wedding dress! What a beautiful bride! Megan being as humble and funny as she is made a comment about how after working so many weddings it was surreal to be standing in a wedding dress looking this amazing and marrying such a great man! How sweet is she?! After showing her girls her wedding look it was time to clear the room to make way for a special first look with her dad. As Megan warned us it was hard for them (and even us!) to choke back tears of joy.

After some quick portraits in the stunning lobby of the Inn the boys were off to the church and the girls weren’t far behind! The ceremony was beautiful! To make the day even more special the bride and groom were married by Megan’s Brother! How great is the photo of their mom’s reaction when the decoy justice of the peace stepped aside for her brother to take over? Even though this was the first and only ceremony he has given it was one of the best we have heard. In keeping with their nautical theme they did a knot tying ceremony! These two were so happy to be married – those reactions after their pronouncement are electric photos bursting with emotion!

After some formal family, wedding party, and bride & groom portraits it was off to Riverview! This wedding party was something else. We could not stop laughing at everything! The boys did not lose any steam from the morning. They continued their fired up energy all morning, day, and night! After some more photos at the Riverview cocktail hour was in full swing. Of course we needed a photo of the bride and groom enjoying their favorite food and cheering with their wedding party!

After mingling and having a great time it was time to party – and party is an understatement with this group! From exciting intros from everyone even their parents to speeches with the room roaring with laughter there was not a dull moment! Then on to parent dances and the cake cutting the night just kept getting better! The dance floor was packed and the bride and groom sure know how to get everyone involved dancing! They even lead a conga line around the whole room! What an exciting day and a great start to what is sure to be an amazing marriage! Congratulations to Megan and Jamie!
