Outside a light sprinkle was coming down as we pulled down the long driveway for our Wadsworth mansion wedding! Luckily the mansion is still stunning in rain or shine! Our bride pulled up in her limo and no rain could have dampened her spirits! Melissa could not have been more ready and excited to get married!

We headed upstairs where the bride and her excited ladies enjoyed some mimosas in the mansion’s bridal suite. Meanwhile Dominique got to work on her detail pictures! Downstairs the mansion staff was setting up an indoor ceremony in their west ballroom since it seemed the rain wasn’t going to let up anytime soon.

Yosef arrived as excited as Melissa and you could just feel the love in the air! As the guys got ready in the bar it was time for Melissa to get into her dress upstairs. They had each gotten each other special wedding day gifts and both opened them and could not have been more thrilled! Yosef got Melissa a stunning necklace. Melissa purchased Yosef specially made cufflinks.

Once she was in her dress it was time for the ceremony to begin! Downstairs guests had all been greeted and were eagerly awaiting the ceremony to begin! Melissa and the ladies lined up and made their way downstairs as Yosef and his groomsmen made their way down the aisle. Melissa and her dad made their grand entrance! Yosef was so excited to see his bride!

Ceremony was lovely. It featured a special portion where each the bride and groom presented their mother’s with roses. They also lit a unity candle to represent the two of them becoming one in marriage. Soon they were pronounced as husband and wife, they shared a kiss, and made their way back down the aisle and outside to the front of the mansion for photos!

Their rowdy group of friends and family was so excited for them! We opted to take their formal photos underneath the mansion’s stunning front entranceway since no one wanted to be out in the rain! We took family photos first so the parents could make their way into cocktail hour and mingle. After we finished the wedding party photos the party were able to head over to cocktail hour as well. Next it was time for some stunning portraits of the newlyweds! Then it was back inside and time to get ready for introductions!

The wedding party and bride and groom made their way into the tented back patio for reception! Melissa and Yosef shared their first dance as husband and wife! Next the two best men and two maids of honor made their toast to the newlyweds! There was not a single person that could hold back their laughter when Yosef’s brother shared how Yosef had done so much research when choosing this date for their wedding day. And he thought it was absolutely perfect because “it has never rained on this day in Connecticut.” While the pitter patter of raindrops danced on the top of the tent. Haha! Next it was time for dinner. After dinner the bride shared a special dance with her dad and the groom shared a dance with his mom. Then the DJ turned the music up and everyone danced all night long!

It was so wonderful to be able to capture these happy and special Wadsworth mansion wedding memories for Melissa & Yosef!
