Bolton Connecticut Wedding

It’s hard to believe it is already August! How time flies. On this warm and fabulous August day we are sharing our first wedding of 2019! This wedding took place back in April on a beautiful yet chilly Saturday! Here is Marissa & Ray’s Bolton Connecticut Wedding!

We have some pretty neat stories about how we have come in contact with some of our brides and grooms. Marissa is a very unique one! Brian photographed Marissa’s older sister Andrea’s wedding in October of 1996! How amazingly flattering it was that Marissa kept us in mind all these years. Furthermore, what an honor it was to be able to photograph her on her wedding day and see the whole family after so much time!

As we arrived in Suffield at her parents house Dominique got right to work on her detail pictures! After scanning their adorable home she came across an antique table in the kitchen. Marissa’s mom explained how Riss had actually bought the table for her! The perfect item to enhance our photos not only visually but on a sentimental level as well. As Dominique worked her magic Brian captured candids of Marissa, her mom, and her sister Andrea! After capturing some details, candids, and formal portraits at the house it was time to head to City Hall in downtown Hartford! Where we planned to take first look, wedding party, and some other portraits amongst the splendor and grandeur of the stunning architecture inside City Hall.

Ray’s excited smiling face greeted us at City Hall! He could not wait to see his beautiful bride! With Marissa right behind us we wasted no time and got him inside and in place for first look! Their first look was amazing! These soon to be parents are so in love! They were so ready to get married and welcome their bundle of joy into their new family! After first look in the center of the first floor we headed upstairs for some more portraits of the bride and groom as well as their best man and maid of honor! There is no end to the amazing beauty inside City Hall! Everywhere you look is amazingly picturesque!

As we finished up at City Hall we were off the meet all of the family at The Hatheway House in Suffield! This historic house has sections built as early as 1732! It also features gorgeous gardens, tons of historic and quaint beauty, as well as a barn and carriage house on the property. A stunning change of scenery perfect for family photos! We captured various set ups of both Marissa and Ray’s family as well as some more wedding party photos! Especially since their wedding party was now complete with their adorable flower girl and ring bearer nice and nephew! Then it was off to Georgina’s in Bolton for the ceremony and reception!

Once arriving at Georgina’s it was time to get all the guests seated so ceremony could begin! The ceremony was perfect and so heartfelt as it was performed by the bride’s aunt! With a unity candle and a kiss to seal it they were married! Everyone cheered and cocktail hour began!

After cocktail hour it was onto intros and their first dance! A friend of the bride and groom sang their first dance song and played along on his guitar. It was such a special moment for Marissa and Ray! After their first dance the father of the bride gave a wonderful speech followed by amazing toasts from the Maid of Honor and Best Man. After dinner it was time for the cake cutting, parent dances, and a night of dancing! Congratulations to these amazing newly weds!
