Glastonbury Family Portrait

We had a fabulous time with this lovely family of three during their Glastonbury Family Portrait Session. It had been a hot day. Especially for fall. But as the evening came around it started to cool off. As the sun started to go down the lighting was soft and glowing – perfect for the shoot.

As we arrived to start with photos we overheard Emilia telling her parents all about her first days as a first grader.. how precious! It was such a simple moment but yet was so meaningful to be able to capture as sometimes the simplest of moments can have such a profound importance. We all know how time has a habit of racing by and before they know it I bet they’ll be hearing about her first day as a High Schooler!

This family made it effortless to take amazing photos! We worked our way around the grounds of Welles Shipman House in South Glastonbury. A location we frequent for photo-shoots. Our clients can not get enough of the stunning views this location offers! Shockingly enough we find new places to pose our families every time we are there. The grounds are just that beautiful!

We always love to hear and adapt to our clients vision and in this shoot keeping to the fall theme was a must. Being the beginning of fall it was so fun to get to celebrate the season’s beginning! Little Emilia had so much fun gathering leaves to throw and up above her head. Which made for some really cool photos! The whole family was having so much fun during the shoot that we couldn’t stop. They were willing to cooperate with whatever ideas we pitched to them. Even when we asked them all to lay in the grass! On the way back to the studio we could not stop reminiscing on all of the moments of the shoot. What a spectacular shoot from start to finish. We cannot wait until next year’s family portrait session with these three!
