Hartford Club Wedding

It was the day of Molly & Rob’s Hartford Club Wedding! It was only 11am however, the heat had settled in and the temperature was already up around 90 degrees as we made our way to our bride’s house. We were in for one of the hottest days on record but that did not dampen anyones’ spirits! Molly’s smiling dad greeted us at the door and directed us to Molly’s room where the make up artist and all her ladies were! As we approached we could hear laughter spilling out into the hallway!

Right away Dominique started on her detail photos as Nick captured candids of everyone enjoying themselves. Dominique had really gotten to know Molly through their many meetings. They had brainstormed together and came up with many unique ideas for the detail photos and she could not wait to get started!

Once hair, make up, and detail photos were complete it was time to get Molly in her dress! With some help from Molly’s mom Mary and her maid of honor Chelsea the lace back of the dress was buttoned up, her borrowed and blue bracelet was clasped, and her shoes were slipped on. She was ready to get married! As the limos arrived Nick and Dominique hopped in the car and made their way to the church.

Once at the church it was time for some very quick outdoor portraits of Rob, his groomsmen, and his parents! Since being outside for too long was unbearable in heat! As we slipped back into the cool air of the church all the guests started to file in. Once everyone was seated Molly, escorted by her dad, headed into the church. The processional started and all her lovely bridesmaids made their way toward the front of the church. As the music changed the back doors of the church opened for Molly and her dad to enter. As they floated down the aisle Rob wiped a tear of happiness from his eye.

The ceremony began and Nick and Dominique shuffled around quietly to capture images of all of the events. After the rings were exchanged Molly and Rob sealed their marriage with a kiss. Both of them were smiling from ear to ear as they recessed down the aisle as husband and wife. All family headed back into the church for portraits in the air conditioning. Next it was time to head to City Hall for some wedding party portraits. We went thorough those images as quickly as possible as it was dangerous to be out in that heat for too long! Then it was off to the Hartford Club.

Our bride and groom took a moment to themselves to cool down and toast their marriage. Then to hangout with their wedding party and families. After that everyone gathered in the Yacht room (also known as the blue room) for some more photos! Next it was time for a special Fairfield University Alumni Photo in the cigar lounge! Molly and Rob as well as many of their guests attended Fairfield University. Amazingly the mascot of the school is a Stag which just so happened to be on the wall in the cigar lounge! Before we knew it cocktail hour was about to begin! The newly weds mingled and enjoyed some wonderful food and beverages as Nick captured candid photos. Meanwhile Dominique was upstairs in the ballroom photographing the marvelous decor of the reception.

After cocktail hour all of the guests made their way to the ballroom to find their seats for the bride and groom’s big entrance! Molly and Rob shared a wonderfully choreographed first dance complete with a grand finale dip! Then it was onto dinner and speeches. Molly’s uncle and godfather was the MC for the evening! Molly’s dad spoke first to welcome all of the guests who had traveled from all over the world to celebrate!

Rob and Molly also each spoke briefly. Lastly Rob’s two best men gave some hilarious recounts of their time with Rob and getting to know Molly. Then it was time for some sunset photos, cake cutting, and parent dances! Soon after the band picked up and everyone filled onto the dance floor to dance the night away!

Congratulations to the newlyweds and cheers to forever together!
