Millpond Gatherings Wedding

Dominique hopped in her car and to New Haven she went! It was a glorious day and she was ready for Lauren & Joe’s Millpond Gatherings Wedding! While arriving on site at the Omni Hotel, she caught up with her second shooter Alex to get the day started! After talking with Lauren & Joe at their engagement shoot we were so excited for this day! It has finally come!

Dominique captured detail photos, Alex captured candids of all the ladies getting their hair done, enjoying champagne, hanging out, and laughing together! Lauren took a private moment before getting into her dress to read her message from her husband to be! Tears filled her eyes as she read. Next thing we knew it it was time to get our bride into her gown! After we scooted ahead to catch up with Joe at the church! At the Church we took Joe outside for some portraits of him in his wedding best! Next up, portraits of Joe and his guys! As we finished these up, guests started to arrive for the ceremony.

Soon the ceremony was underway! Joe made his way to his position in front of the altar and awaited his bride. The music began, and their family and friends processed down the aisle. The back doors closed, and Lauren got in place for her grand entrance.

Shortly after the doors swung open and Lauren made her way down the aisle. Looking back at Joe you could see the joy and love in his eyes.

The Priest shared many tidbits of wisdom for the couple. All of a sudden, Lauren started to waver at the altar. She whispered to Joe and grabbed onto his arm. He calmly walked her over to a chair and sent for a glass of water. Our bride almost fainted!! However, with the help of her groom, MOH, and the speedy help of the Church assistants, she regained her stability and carried on with the ceremony.

Soon they were exchanging vows and rings, sharing a kiss, and recessing back down the aisle as husband and wife!

Next up was Family Portraits! Everyone headed over to the green across from the Church. While the crew made their way over to the green Dominique snuck Lauren & Joe back into the Church for a few portraits! We ran through all the family set ups and we were able to include everyone in the photos! Even cousins & Aunts/Uncles that were standing by to watch the action! Next, Dominique took Lauren and Joe down the street to the dock for a quiet moment together and some portraits.

Once Dominique arrived on site Lauren & Joe and the entire Wedding Party was not far behind. Soon it was time for the formal wedding party photos. The staff caught wind of how hungry our Bride was and surprised her with a plate of pasta to regain her strength. To the side/between our wedding party set ups, you could see Lauren & Joe run over for a bite of pasta. We finished up our photos and our couple took the remaining time of their cocktail hour to mingle with their guests. Soon they tucked away for their grand introduction into the reception and their first dance together as husband and wife!

Next, our couple took a seat at the sweetheart table as their loved ones prepared to deliver their toasts. Lauren’s Dad went first with a lovely speech! Joe’s Grandpa was up next and gave a wonderful speech as well with many words of wisdom for the happy couple.

After speeches, dinner was served! We took the quiet moment to capture our group photos! All of the family of the bride piled onto the dance floor first followed by the groom’s extended family! Complete with one of the best photobombs we have yet to see! Grandpa taking a seat on Joe’s lap! After Dinner it was time to cut the cake, Dance with their Parents, and Toss the Bouquet! As guests took to the Dance Floor we had one last set of portraits in-mind… Outdoor Sparkler Pictures!
