South Windsor Wedding

We are keeping with our Throwback Thursday theme on the blog today for this next post! Next up for our Throwback Weddings is Jenn and Evan’s South Windsor Wedding!

Brian has known Jenn and her parents for quite some time. He used to work with her Dad years ago! Now she is all grown up and a beautiful bride on her special Wedding Day! We also have known Jenn’s groom Evan for quite some time! Evan works for the radio station 96.5 TIC! We have photographed for the station for many years and come into contact with him at numerous events!

We had so much fun with this couple when we got to spend the day together for their engagement shoot at Kent Falls! When we asked them to follow us and climb around the falls they looked at us like we were a little crazy. But they trusted us and we captured some amazing photos in the gorgeous landscape! We knew then that wedding day with them was going to be nothing short of great!

As we arrived at the Bride’s house we were greeted by Jenn, her parents, and some eager bridesmaids! Dominique got right to work on her detail photos. We just love the rustic wood and tree bark “We Do” ring box. As well as her stunning vintage jewelry and Paris handkerchief. They added such unique touches to her wedding day details! Soon it was time to get her into her beautiful wedding gown! With some help from her mom she was wedding ready. As she made her way downstairs she was eager to show off for her dad and her girls! We organized back to back first look reveals right in her living room!

Then we headed outside to hop in the car and go to Evan’s house where his parents and groomsmen were getting ready! But had to take a few minutes to take some photos of the gorgeous bride and her parents in front of her dads fancy new jeep wrangler! As we arrived at Evan’s we were greeted by his smiling face! We rounded together all the groomsmen who were ready early and snapped some photos of the group of them! After some photos of Evan and his parents we were off to the Church!

We arrived at the church and the ladies were right behind us! Ceremony was set up and all the guests quickly found their seats. Jen made her way out of the party bus with help from her dad and all her ladies following her! She was tucked away in the back of the church but had a quick visit and loving embrace from her soon to be mother in law! Shortly after processional started and she was making her way down the aisle to her groom with her dad by her side!

It was a lovely ceremony. Complete with two readings from Jenn’s bridesmaid and Evan’s Dad and some heartfelt words of wisdom from the priest. Even though he had his sign and words backwards at first he was able to turn it around with a smile edna  chuckle from the crowd! Next they exchanged vows and rings and sealed their marriage with a kiss! Then Jenn & Evan were dancing their way down the aisle as husband and wife! They stopped for a photo on the front steps and continued for the big group photo with all their guests!

Next we snapped away through family and wedding party photos in a pretty wooded area across from the church! As their wedding party loaded onto the bus we took a few portraits of the newlyweds then we were all off to Maneely’s in South Windsor! We once again got a taste of Jenn and Evan’s adventurous picture taking approach! We watched as they hopped onto the back of a golf cart and whizzed off to an awesome rustic barn across the way! As guests enjoyed cocktail hour we utilized the gorgeous grounds around the venue for some more wedding party photos and portraits of the bride and groom!

Back at the lodge they enjoyed the end of cocktail hour and then freshened up to get their reception underway! The crowd was filled with tears of happiness and smiles from ear to ear as they shared their first dance together! Next their maid of honor and best man gave some stupendous speeches! Everyone gathered around them for a toast photo!

After dinner was served it was time for some dancing before the cake cutting. Their cake was beautiful and kept with their rustic wedding theme! Birch trees and lanterns surrounded the cake as well as greenery and flowers! The bouquet toss was up next. Following that it was time for the parent dances! Again the crowd watched with sparkles in their eyes as these two wonderful people danced with their amazing mother and father! As dancing continued on inside we ended the evening with some outdoor portraits of the lovely couple!

This was a fabulous wedding made even better by our spectacular bride and groom! These two are living in newlywed bless as they just shared a great fist anniversary together!
