Lace Factory Wedding

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is a special day on our blog because we are posting some fun throwbacks to some 2015/2016 weddings! So here it goes – first is this lovely Lace Factory Wedding!

We knew we were in for a treat on this one but I don’t think we (or the bride and groom themselves for that matter) could have predicted the celebratory fun that was to come! Erica and Jeffery’s day was amazingly FUN!

The day started at the Middletown Inn on main street. We walked into a lively bunch of girls – music playing, mimosas pouring, and a full hair and make up team at work! Just what we like to see on wedding day! We got to work on Erica’s many details! She even had details set a side for the guys! From her BEAUTIFUL and unique, backless to her lace Katie May Collection wedding gown. Also her Micheal Kors “Very Hollywood” perfume, and her gold E & J letters we had so much fun getting creative with the details! Who else is in love with her gold handbag that she found antiquing?

As we diligently worked away at her detail photos we could hear excitement, laughter, and downright chaos happening in the adjoining hotel suite room! Her girls were one rowdy bunch! After some candids with the bridesmaids Brian was off to the guys’ room! They too were one rambunctious crew!

It then came time for Erica & Jeff to get into their wedding day attire! Jeff strapped on his suspenders and tied his tie up nice. Once he was all ready he took a quiet moment to read his heartfelt card from his future wife!

Meanwhile downstairs Erica got into her gown with help from her mom. She too took a moment to read her note from her future husband! She tried her best to resist the urge to “ugly cry” as she said. Even though there is no way anything she did could fall into the category of “ugly”. How stunning is she in those bridal portraits?! In the next room her girls were eagerly awaiting their first look at their lovely bride! They were truly wowed by her! After that it was off to the church!

Jeff and his guys were already there when we arrived. We grabbed some great shots of them outside and made our way inside for ceremony! Jeff and his groomsman Ted helped step in for Erica so we could get our shot set up – thank you so much! Next thing we knew the bus as pulling up with the ladies! Erica’s dad helped her off the bus and then into the church they went! Ceremony was great! Next we had all their guests follow them outside for a group photo then it was off to the Lace Factory!

We did family photos out back in the beautiful garden! Then we made our way down to the river with the newlyweds and their wedding party! In the distance we could hear the train coming! We got the bridal party set up just in time to grab a photo as the historic steam train passed by! On its way back out of the station everyone formed a conga “train” line and Jeff swept Erica up into his arms. It is so perfect when fun photos unfold naturally and just at the right moment!

We had a blast down by the river and got some great shots of our boisterous wedding party! Not to mention some awesome portraits of the bride and groom! As the wedding party made their way up to cocktail hour we took Erica and Jeff down the hill to a dock where Erica’s dad had his boat docked for some special photos! We also came across some other great scenery on our way back up to the Lace Factory entrance. What perfect lighting we had for photos – the sky was like one big soft box!

Next it was time for introductions and their first dance as husband and wife! Erica and Jeff had told us they had rehearsed a choreographed first dance but we could not have predicted what a breathtaking first dance they had planned! Turns, lifts, and Jeff twirling around while holding Erica – AMAZING! The crowd was in an uproar!

Then Erica’s two maids of honor gave incredible speeches! Her maid of honor Karlin even let it slide that on Erica and Jeff’s first date Erica had called her and told her and her boyfriend to come to the bar they were going to and act as though they casually bumped into them at the bar! A fact Jeff was hearing about for the first time! The speeches portion of the evening ended with a great speech from the best man and the groom’s mother.

After speeches was dinner and cake cutting and a wild night of garter and bouquet tosses and a ton of dancing!! What a wedding worth throwing back to! Congratulations to Erica and Jeff we know married life has been treating them well!
