Stony Creek Brewery Wedding
What could be more perfect then a Stony Creek Brewery Wedding? The Brewery has unique beer and is in the town of Branford right on the water! Since Emily and Matt had their first date at a brewery it was even more perfect! We have worked with Emily and have met Matt many times through our relationship with 96.5 TIC and many fun radio station events! So we knew we were in for a fun filled day! This wedding was anything but ordinary and we loved every minute of it! After the busy year we have had it feels great to finally share this wedding!
To start off the morning Dominique did some fun detail photos with Emily’s handmade and insanely unique and beautiful paper flower bouquets and other wedding day necessities. Meanwhile Brian had some fun with the guys! Emily and her girls with their hair and make up complete and looking stunning (and with time to spare!) had some fun in their matching robes and fluffy socks. Who wouldn’t want to dance the Cotton Eye Joe before getting married? Within the first twenty minutes of the day we knew our expectations would be far exceeded by this group!
When we arrived at the brewery we were greeted by the lively group of groomsmen excited and ready to get going! We arranged for the first look to take place on the dock outside. Then watched and captured the love and emotions involved with Emily and Matt’s first interaction on their wedding day! It was a really special way to get them ready for their ceremony!
We then did some quick and well planned family photos up on the deck to dodge a passing shower. After we had so much fun with the wedding party photos. This was complete with a full wedding party dance session to one of the groups “favorite jams”! The outdoor bar was open for an hour prior to ceremony while all the guests were arriving! A special touch that Emily & Matt wanted to set the mood for their casual wedding. With guests happy with beers in hand everyone was seated for Emily to make her grand entrance.
It was a beautiful and very personal ceremony for the bride and groom. They even shared some beautifully written vows. With Emily coming up with a clever way to include the couples love and special relationship with music. She wrote her vows by piecing together lyrics from all their favorite songs! How adorable! The mothers of the bride and groom had a special part with a sand ceremony. Then after ceremony Emily and Matt had a special visit from Emily’s great grandmother! The spirit of her great grandmother was amazing and so touching. Emily is very close to her and loves her time spent together. There was an uncontrollable roar of laughter when she looked at Matt and genuinely thanked him “for taking her off of her hands.” Such a sweet moment that speaks so much of the person she is!
We whisked away the bride and groom for some quick portraits in the brewing room. Then came intros, first dance to their favorite song “Then” by Brad Paisley, and following that all the guests headed upstairs for toasts and dinner. Dancing was downstairs near the main bar. The eight beers, four wines, as well as signature Moscow mule drink on tap made for an amazing dance party into the night!
