February Wadsworth Mansion Wedding

On February 12th,  two amazing things happened! First some of our favorite people, Brianna & Alexander, said I do! Two despite the date of February 12th the weather decided it was as good as Spring with high temperatures in the 60s! It was a beyond perfect day for a February Wadsworth Mansion Wedding! We pulled up to the Mansion and we simply could not believe how lucky we were to be shooting a Wedding on this absolutely beautiful day! I mean how often is it that you get to experience record breaking high temperatures on your Wedding Day?

Dominique started on her detail photos right away as Brian spent some time with Alexander and his groomsmen! With this beautiful weather there was no way that we weren’t using outside for photos! So right away Brian got the guys outside for some pictures! Next Alexander took a quiet moment to read the heartfelt card from his soon to be wife!

Meanwhile upstairs in the bridal suite Brianna was ready to get into her dress! And just outside the bridal suite the ladies did some celebrating with a champagne toast while they waited for their bride’s big reveal! Brianna had the best duo helping her get ready! Of course her mother was there to help with her wedding gown. Brianna also had help with her hair from her hairdresser her whole life! Despite living in Washington D.C. now Brianna has never had her hair done by anyone other than the one and only Jay of Blades Salon in Rocky Hill, CT! So naturally he was there to help her on her Wedding Day! As he got her hair looking perfect her mom went to work on the seemingly endless amount of buttons down the back of her stunning gown!

Once ready Brianna was ready to show off her show-stopping Wedding look first to all her ladies & next to her Groom and husband to be! Briana’s bridal beauty absolutely blew them away! After that, out in the front of the Mansion we set Brianna up for her first look with Alexander. They could not have been happier to see each other!

Following their first look we got right into family portraits! Of course we did these outside, it was too beautiful not to! After family photos it was the Wedding Party’s turn in the spotlight! As guests started to show up for the Ceremony we took Brianna & Alexander to the back of the Mansion for some portraits of the two of them. Brianna took a quiet moment to read her letter from her Husband to be!

At last, it was time to get these two married! Alexander and his groomsmen took their place at the end of the aisle. As the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle too. Finally it was time for Brianna’s grand entrance! She was escorted by both her Dad & Stepdad! A family friend of the groom held a lovely ceremony. Brianna and Alexander even exchanged handwritten heartfelt vows to each other. Next was the exchanging of their rings, I Do’s, and finally they sealed it with a kiss! They were overcome with joy as their guests cheered for the pronouncing of them as husband & wife for the very first time!

Following Ceremony, all the extended family made their way to the front of the Mansion for those special group family photos. Meanwhile, Dominique made her way into both Ballrooms to capture the amazing florals of Terri Krisavage, table setting of Max Catering, and all the glamour/amazement of the Wadsworth Mansion! The reception vision came to life in the most stunning way! Guests remained in the logia of the Mansion for cocktails and delicious appetizers. As cocktail hour came to an end guests made their way back into the tented outside patio for the introducing of the Bride & Groom!

Brianna & Alexander made their grand entrance and all their guests went wild! After they took the dance floor for their first dance as husband & wife. They glowed with happiness as they danced together! Next it was time for toasts! You can just tell the amazing people that Brianna & Alexander are based on how many nice things everyone had to say about them! Brianna’s Step Dad spoke first, followed by her Dad, Alexander’s Brother, Brianna’s Childhood bestie, and last but not least her College bestie! Brianna & Alexander were moved to tears at times and were overcome with laughter throughout. Guests headed back into the Mansion to take their seats for Dinner.

After dinner all the Elon University Alumni gathered in the tent for a special group photo! Brianna shared a special dance with her Dad & Step Dad. Then Alexander had a special dance with his mom. At last, the two cut their wedding cake & enjoyed the first bites together! The cake was cleared as fast as possible because their guests & the newlyweds were ready to DANCE! And dance they did – all night long. We could hardly believe the day had already came to an end as the guests lined up at the front of the Mansion for a special goodbye to their Bride & Groom! It certainly was a perfect day!
