Lighthouse Point Park Engagement Shoot

It was a beautiful Monday evening and Brian & Dominique loaded up their gear and headed down to New Haven for their lighthouse point park engagement shoot! The sun was shining and Lauren & Joe were ready to go!

Lauren  scheduled her hair & makeup trial for earlier in the day and was dressed in a stunning white dress with a little something blue… floral print! Similarly Joe was looking spiffy in his button down and dress pants! We walked and talked as we headed into the park to start their photos!

It turns out that Joe grew up a few minutes from the park and he grew up coming to the carousel there so it was the perfect place to start! After some warm up photos there it was time to head to the lighthouse!

Lauren & Dominique headed to get some portraits of Lauren and her stunning engagement ring down the beach. Brian & Joe got to chatting about his wood-working business! How cool! Then they set their blanket and whipped out their gifted Mr. & Mrs. Champagne flutes and it was time to pop their bottle! Dominique even caught the cork in the air!! What an action shot! 🍾

After some photos and sips of champagne we walked all around the lighthouse, out in front on the rocks, around the back grass, and even using the base for a neutral industrial look. Next we headed to another spot in the park that Joe recommended on the other end of the park. Along the way Lauren & Joe hopped into the edge of the kids splash pad and got some fun pics and a tiny bit splashed! We love to think of fun poses on the fly for all our shoots!

The new spot Joe recommended was perfect! A tucked away area where the ocean pooled into a little pond and beach grasses grew wild! As the golden hour hit we took some amazing and romantic photos of the two of them to close out the engagement shoot!

It certainly was a fun evening getting to know this awesome couple! We cannot wait to photograph their wedding at the beginning of September!
