It was the perfect day for a New Haven Wedding! We had the pleasure of getting to know Jaclyn & Thomas through the process of being their wedding photographers and they are simply the best! Their love is magnetic and brings joy to everyone around them! We always check in with our brides the week of the Wedding to finalize the timeline for the big day! In true Jaclyn & Thomas fashion they let us know they had to go to the Governor’s Ball Music Festival in NYC the night before so they were still figuring out all their wedding day details. and they reassured us that everything would fall into place!

When we arrived at the Blake hotel and were greeted by the most calm, chill bride! So I guess they were right! Jaclyn was just so happy to be marrying her love that the details didn’t matter! Dominique started on the detail photos as Brian captured some candids of everyone!

Soon our bride was all ready and looking stunning! Then it was time for her to get into her wedding gown with help from her mom and MOH Gina! Lucky for Jaclyn it turns out that Gina has a knack for securing wedding gown buttons because there were quite a few! After some giggles and fighting with button loops she was in her dress! Jaclyn put on her jewelry and Gina helped with her shoes. Then it was time to capture some portraits of our bride all dressed!

After that it was in the car and off to see our groom! Much like Jaclyn his joy was palpable. He made sure to follow Jaclyn’s instructions and take photos with his wedding gift of a framed painting by Jaclyn. After some photos at Jaclyn’s parents house we headed to the beach to get some more photos of the groom and his groomsmen. The guys had a blast taking their photos!

Then it was time for Jackie and Tom’s first look! Not to be confused with Tom’s groomsman who wanted to prank him with pretending to be Jackie. Luckily Tom was up for the joke. Next up it was time for the real thing! My goodness these two are just the sweetest together!

This Wedding party was down for whatever and did not hesitate to climb up on the rocks overlooking the ocean! However, we were keeping an eye on the ominous looking clouds all around. But of course no one can rain on Jaclyn & Thomas’s parade! They hurried into the car and suggested we head to their favorite bar nearby for a group shot!

What a cool bar it was too! We had so much fun taking photos inside! And sure enough as soon as we came back outside the rain had stopped! Next we were off to Anthony’s ocean view and it was time to get these two crazy kids married!

It was quite windy out but not too windy to have their ceremony inside! Guests took their seats and the bridal party settled into the bridal suite! Next thing we knew everyone was lined up and ready to get the ceremony started!

Jaclyn’s cousin and close friend were administering the ceremony! They were ready to go! Then they both shared their handwritten vows for everyone to hear and boy were the tears flowing! Finally it was time for the rings and sealing it with a kiss! They recessed down the aisle and shared a dramatic dip-kiss at the end! Then it was time for family and parent photos back out on the beach! After Brian ventured into cocktail hour and Dominique headed into the ballroom for reception details!

After introductions Jackie & Tom shared a unique first dance to Thinking About Forever by Frank Ocean! Next it was time for toasts! Jackie’s sister in law went first and fought away tears… so much so her son was concerned and joined in the crying! Next Tom’s best man have a wonderful speech. Lastly was MOH Gina! After toasts Brian took photos of couples at their tables as dinner was starting to be served!

After dinner we got to our posed extended friend and family photos and then it was dancing into the night! What a wonderful wedding day for a wonderful couple! Congrats to the newlyweds!
